Lost‘s Henry Ian Cusick and Mark Pellegrino may both be found on The CW next season.
Cusick, who portrayed Desmond on the ABC island mystery series and also starred on Scandal‘s first season, has joined the cast of The Hundred. In the drama, nearly a century after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, a spaceship sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing. Cusick will portray Kane, an ambitious officer aboard the spacecraft who has his eye on the top job.
The Hundred is based on the forthcoming Kass Morgan book of the same name. Jason Rothenberg will write and executive-produce with Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo.

Pellegrino, who played island-dweller Jacob and has since had roles on Revolution and Supernatural, will co-star on The Tomorrow People. Based on the U.K. series of the same name, it’s the story of several young people — played by Peyton List and Luke Mitchell, among them — from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers like teleportation and telepathy. They work together to defeat the forces of evil. Among that evil is Dr. Jedikiah Price (Pellegrino), who believes that the Tomorrow People are a danger to the human race.
Chuck‘s Phil Klemmer will write and executive-produce the drama with The Vampire Diaries‘ Julie Plec and Arrow‘s Greg Berlanti.

Pilot Scoop: Cult Actress Is One of CW’s Hundred
Based on upcoming Alloy books written by Kass Morgan, the project is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization. A spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet.
Avgeropoulos — who recurs on The CW’s Cult, which was recently moved to Friday night following two low-rated outings — will play Octavia, an illegally second-born child who grew up hidden in captivity. She is an independent spirit who follows her own path.
Additionally, Australian actress Eliza Taylor (Neighbours) has been tapped for the lead role of Clarke, a passionate and rebellious “delinquent” sent down to the dangerous world of a post-apocalyptic Earth. As the daughter of the surviving colony’s chief medical officer, she also holds some important secrets.
Rounding out the cast are Henry Ian Cusick (Lost), Bob Morley (Home and Away) and Eli Goree (Emily Owens, M.D.).
Alloy TV’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo serve as exec producers alongside Matt Miller (Chuck) and Jason Rothenberg, who penned the script.
